Northwest Georgia Chapter

The first interest group meeting was held during the summer of 2002 in Woodstock, Georgia. The group was started as the vision of an exceptional woman, Alice Archey. Alice’s vision was based on the premise that we could and should combine our vast and varied expertise to lend a hand and build a bridge for the future as so many have done before us in the past. So, we began, as a few determined women inspired to become a chapter of the nationally acclaimed organization known for its success in promoting issues of health, education and economic development. On Saturday, March 27, 2004, the Northwest Georgia Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women was officially chartered and 60 women accepted the challenge to carry out the vision of Alice Archey as well as the women of the National organization.

Today, we stand as a testament to what can be accomplished based on unity for a common cause and purpose. We are dedicated to serving the underprivileged in the communities in which we live and work.

We the members of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Northwest Georgia Chapter, Inc. are committed to completing this visionary endeavor.
